When you are a golfer, one of the biggest faults in your game may well be your tendency to slice. There are plenty of golf tips out there that are meant to help you correct your golf swing, but what if the slice is the biggest problem that you are going to be dealing with? If you have ever thought that you had a great set up, only to see your ball veer off to the left or the right, you know how thoroughly frustrating this phenomenon can be! Happily, with the right golf tips, you'll find that your golf swing can be corrected and your slice can be minimized to the point where it disappears. When you're trying to fix your golf swing, look at your swing plane first. The swing plane is the path your club takes while you're hitting the ball. It starts at the beginning of your swing and carries on in an arc until your swing is finished. If your swing plane is off center you'll probably hit a slice. You need to remember that you have different clubs for a reason, and that you should not use the same swing plane with every club in your bag. When you're hitting your driver, your swing plane should not be as upright. When you want to improve your golf swing to eliminate slicing, consider your grip. Remember that the way you hold your club is going to very much affect the way that the ball flies. With a grip that is too weak, you'll find that your club head turns on you, allowing the ball to slice. A grip that is too tight is going to force the ball to slice as well, because there is not enough give and you are pulling the club back over your shoulder. Find a grip that will let you hit the ball from straight on, without allowing it to veer. Remembering to look at the balance of your golf swing is another one of the golf tips that can help eliminate your slice. Take a look at your golf swing and determine how and where it ends. Many players know that the quality of anyone's golf swing can be evaluated simply by looking at the finish. Do you overbalance during your swing or do you finish your swing with confidence? Do you swing hard enough, or do you swing way too hard? When you analyze your golf swing you'll soon learn that by looking at your position at the end of the swing, you'll be able to judge the quality of your weight shift and overall balance. Take some time to check out your alignment. Do not forget that your whole body is involved in your golf swing. Too many amateur golfers will spend too much time working with their upper body. While it is true that this is important, you will also find that you need to think about your legs and how you are standing. Take a look down and make sure that your body is lined up with the place that you want your ball to go. It's easy to find golf tips that are meant to help your overall golf swing. But if you slice the ball too often, try looking for golf tips that are intended to help you eliminate that nasty slice.
